THE SCGT VABCIDE ROUNDUP BY IDECUTION

The SCGT VABCIDE Power Group presentation conclave happened on Saturday, 19th of May, 2018 at Thane.

The conclave was graced by the presence of business owners from Mumbai and Tier 2 / Tier 3 cities of Maharashtra, belonging mainly to the real estate and architecture industries. The power group of Saturday Club Global Trust (SCGT) pitched for business hand-shakes in a 5-hour long B2B conclave. The Saturday Club, as it is popularly known, is a networking group of business owners from various domains/industries in Maharashtra; founded by the since-departed entrepreneur Er. Madhavrao Bhide.
VABCIDE stands for Vendors, Architects, Builders, Consultants, Interior Designers and Engineers. The audience represented businesses from these categories.

About the Founder

Er. Madhavrao Bhide is a very enterprising person and an inspiration for young entrepreneurs, because of his high energy levels and immense curiosity.
Er. Madhavrao Bhide challenges the mindset of being an employee and inspires people to be an entrepreneur, one who creates several opportunities for others too. With the enthusiasm of a young mind, he sat through the entire presentation conclave that lasted for over 5 hours and sought answers to his queries from the presenters in order to satiate his hunger for knowledge.

About the event

The business presentation conclave was organized especially for entrepreneurs from the above mentioned categories to be able to seek vendor collaborations from the power group, consisting of digital marketing, photo and videography, environment sustainability, finance and so on.

The core theme of the event was of people directly connected to the target industries coming up with solutions for real-life issues faced by themselves and related businesses. An excellent example was of an entrepreneur who runs a water-treatment-plant business. She explained how such an essential facility could be provided without requiring huge plots of land. The trick was to implement it all underground. This is a huge plus point, considering that water and waste treatment plants are absolutely essential to all construction projects, while land comes at a premium and cannot be wasted as “dead investment”.

It was also heartening to see that the business owners were concerned about the impact of the business and industrial operations on the environment. One of the entrepreneurs discussed his idea of encouraging schools to give students an assignment to grow plants in their backyard or suitable premises. Upon successful completion of this and sustenance of the tree, they would be scored in that subject.

Another such example was of an architect from Kolhapur who discussed how the human activities over last few decades have irreversibly damaged the topography and what can be done to minimise the impact in the future at least.

People who are in the business of marketing for real estate were also present at the conclave and every one of them had their unique way of helping the real estate operators. One of the presenters from Mumbai shared that her business helps other businesses come up with a sound marketing strategy, once their idea is ready to be launched. She provides training to sales and marketing teams of mid-sized companies, thus enabling them to take forward and implement the knowledge and execute their own strategies.

Role of Idecution

Idecution Marketing Studio LLP presented how the marketing challenges faced by the entire group of VABCIDE can be addressed using social media and other online marketing options including SEO, Google Adwords and content writing/marketing. Idecution proposed the idea to support offline ‘deals’ through online marketing channels for an enhanced customer experience, to measure the marketing campaigns and to benefit from both online and offline marketing by leveraging them together. To drive the point home we distributed brand-aid handouts to the attendees which contained an offer to take the first step towards creating a strong digital presence.

Summary
The conclave saw a sizable number of business presenters with varied expertise, who addressed core issues faced by the VABCIDE group of entrepreneurs and how tangible business solutions could tackle the same. The event was a huge success, witnessing several business hand-shakes and several business enquiries raised, thus making it a successful B2B networking event.
